I tried that-Thanks,  BUT even after dumping icamsource in programs, that "earlier Version" STILL loads 2.4!

If Windows doesn't uninstall the previous version correctly I would try the following:

1. Uninstall 2.4
2. Delete the C:\Program Files\iCamSource folder.
3. Re-install a previous version.
 OK "Delet the C: program files" did the trick.
            2.2.3  now re-installed and is working again on Windows 7.

May I get an earlier version so it works again?

The Original Poster returned to an earlier version and claims it worked for him. I tried the same thing and it wouldn't work for me.

icame source 2.4 crashes ever time I start camera. Windows 7. Uninstalled and re installed 2.4..same. 2.3 was fine.

captual - Are you using MJPEG or JPEG mode in iCamSource?  If you're using MJPEG mode, try switching to JPEG mode (with the same URL) to see if that has any effect on the behavior.

Sorry switching between MJPEG and JPEG does not help the LNE 3003 cameras. They still Freeze between 2-15 hours. Using 2.1.8 with no problem when using hard wire cam like Logitech HD, then no freezing.
Cams are set to:  INTERNET/LAN MPEG4 640X480.    For video streaming.   also tried  INTERNET/LAN MJPEG 640X480 with same results of freezing.

Do you have any updated recommendations for IP cams? My three LNE 3003 cams freeze when using Icame Source after 3-12 hours.
They work fine forever when I do Not use Icamsource . My wired Logitech also works fine with Icamsource with no freezing up. I'm using all updated software for everything and the LNE 3003 just don't work. (2.1.6 in use).

OK Jay,  I ran the Clean iCam registry, and ALL seems back to normal on both my desktop & notebook computers.  Thanks, guess that's why you have HERO status. ;)
Same with me....now works.

This new version uses the registry more than the last version, so it's possible that the registry key has somehow gotten into a bad state. 

Please download and run (double-click) this file: http://skjm.com/icam/CleaniCamKey.reg

That will erase the current iCamSource settings in your registry.  You will need to re-enter all of your settings, but hopefully the problem will be resolved if it's due to a problem in the registry.
Yes this got it to run on Windows XP.

After updating to v. 2.1.1, everything seemed fine (after unchecking auto-configure router).

I shut down iCam Source v 2.1.1 (on notebook), and started it on my desktop computer.  Everything seems normal there.

I decided to check out iCam Web, and loaded it (applet) on the notebook, to see if I could see what was showing on my iPhone and desktop.  It gave a "No sources Found" error, even before asking where to look.  I shut down my browser (Firefox), and restarted iCam Source on the notebook, only to receive the Windows "We're Sorry, iCam Source Encountered a Problem, and needs to shut down."  I tried to restart iCam Source v 2.1.1, only to receive the same message.

I uninstalled v. 2.1.1, rebooted, reinstalled v. 2.1.1, and received the same windows message again.  I uninstalled v 2.1.1, rebooted, reinstalled the earlier version 1.4.2 (I think) and things are running again.  Since the earlier version runs OK, I redownloaded v 2.1.1 and reinstalled it, only to receive the windows error message again.

I uninstalled v 2.1.1, rebooted, reinstalled the earlier Beta, and am running again.

v 2.1.1 is running fine on my desktop; but will not run again on my notebook.  Guessing, I think something was changed on my notebook, after attempting to use the iCam Web Java Applet thru Firefox, because all was fine until then.

I am using windows XP/Home on both desktop & notebook, and Windows reports that all updates are complete.

OK, scratch most of that (desktop part).  I just wen down to shut down iCam Source (which was still loaded); but it had the windows error message on top of the window.  So, v 2.1.1 has crashed there too (without a reboot).  I had been watching on my iPhone, and it said connection closed for that particular camera.

after 2.1 install, I alway get Icamsource has encountered a problem and needs to shut down.. report to Microsoft.
This is happening on three windows XP computers? After deleating program and re install previous version it now Still gives error!

I know you guys are a small shop, but considering that your application is relatively premium priced I'm getting dismayed as the weeks tick by without a single update for iCam.  By now I would have expected an app that is optimized for the resolution of the iPhone 4, the iPad as well as ios4 fast application switching.

What gives guys?

I agree.... the iPhone 4 and iPad were no secret were they?.....Time to get on it! ::)
