White out - screen overexposed - can't see scene
« on: April 30, 2010, 11:17:24 PM »
I purchased iCam for my iPhone yesterday and downloaded and installed iCamSource Version 1.4.2.5 BETA. I am using a Mac Mini, a Logitech Web Cam STX, Mac OS 10.4.11, Quicktime Pro 7.6.4, and all I can see is a white screen with a very, very faint outline. My Logitech Web Cam STX works fine with all other applications, but with iCamSource all I get is a vague outline of the scene that is barely distinguishable. I have connected the Web cam directly to the Mac Mini and to my USB hub and get the same result. Any ideas how to fix this problem and get a normal picture?

Are you using any third party drivers (such as Macam) for your webcam?

Other users have seen similar behavior while using Macam.  There's a discussion about it on our support forum here: http://skjm.com/forum/index.php?topic=374
