Hi.  I am recording from my mac and watching dogs on my phone.  wanting to hear if they are crying / barking.  when i review the recorded events on my phone - no sound.  only sound on the live webstream.  then when i get home, there is no video to record on the computer - only photo stills.  any way to change these things?

It sounds like you are using iCam instead of iCam Pro. iCam Pro is the app that records videos with sound as opposed to a series of images.

I've used iCam for a long time..  Always liked it, and was always able to email video direct from my phone.. text or email as I recall.  However, recently, when I seem to be emailing or texting a video, only a photo gets sent.  I have iCam Pro and have had it for some time now.  What changed? It's either not working right or something is different than it used to be.   Also, would like to know the difference between having the CLOUD service, vs just viewing my videos.   Seems I have NO way to actually save or share a file currently, but I always was able to before. Is this what the cloud service is for now?

Both iCam and iCam Pro have allowed you to save and send images, but not videos. The video format (WebM) used by iCam Pro is not natively supported by iOS, so they cannot be saved to the Photos / Camera Roll.

iCam and iCam Pro stream both the live feed and any recorded events from the computer running the iCamSource and iCamSource Pro. The cloud service lets users backup the event images and videos that are saved to their source computer to the cloud in case the computer goes offline or is stolen.

I'd like to save the videos or share them if possible.
Don't have the cloud yet but would be nice to have them saved.

Yes, you can download the videos from the cloud to your computer using your web browser.

I realized after my last message that I may've had the emailing of video mixed up with my Ring doorbell which does allow sending of videos.
I'll look into getting the cloud to try it. Can I cancel that service at anytime if I get it and don't use it or don't like it?

Yes, it is simply month-to-month, with no long-term contract or anything.
