Additional In-app purchases
« on: July 04, 2014, 08:35:19 PM »
I a few weeks ago I purchased the the $4.99 app and L O V E it, my question is about the others out there.

Can someone explain the differences between:
1. $9.99 iCam Pro Service (lifetime)
2. $.99 iCam Pro Service (Subscription)
3. $.99 25MB of Private Proxy Data
4. $4.99 iCam Pro Unlimited Private Proxy Data (Subscription)

Like i said the $4.99 app works great.  I get to check in on the dogs throughout the day and get the motion captures when I get home of everything I missed.

Please see the comparison between iCam and iCam Pro here: http://skjm.com/icam/

Proxy Support is intended for users whose network is particularly restrictive or complex. If you are currently able to connect outside of your local network, you do not need Proxy Support.

Thank you, but I still don't understand what the $9.99 lifetime app is for?  I can connect outside my own network via 3g, I just want to make sure I will be able to always have that option.  does the $4.99 have limits?

Purchasing the iCam Pro Service is required to connect to your cameras from outside of your local network and to receive notifications when motion or sound are detected. iCam does not have limitations in regards to access outside your WiFi network, however it does not have all of the features available of in iCam Pro. For Feature Comparison, please see our Support Pages here: http://http://skjm.com/icam/

Thank you, but I still don't get it (what would one need the $9.99 option for).  Since the $4.99 app I purchased from the App Store works for me, I will call it good.

So how do I get icam pro service?? I have iCam source, I cam, and Icam Pro, and I cannot watch my dog from my phone when I Am at work. It only works when I am home and under the same Wifi. How do I fix this? I was told to get Icam pro service but have no idea how to do so? It is not under the app store anywhere.

Please note iCam/iCamSource does not work with iCam Pro/iCamSource Pro. If you are running iCam Pro you can purchase the iCam Pro Service via the iCam Pro Store (shopping basket icon) in iCam Pro running on your iPhone. More information about iCam Pro can be found on our Support Pages here: http://skjm.com/icampro/help/

First, iCam Pro/iCamSource Pro will not work with iCam. Second, unless you plan on using your iPhone as Source to view via another iPhone you do not need iCamSource Pro Mobile.

You need to run iCamSource Pro on a computer with a webcam in order to view the webcam on your iPhone. Once iCamSource Pro is running on your computer, select your webcam from the Video drop down list and your microphone from the Audio drop down list (or No Audio).

Then set your login and password. You can set the login and password in iCamSource Pro to be anything you want. Make sure it’s something other people won’t be able to guess easily.

In iCam Pro on your iPhone, make sure you are using the exact same login/password you entered in iCamSource Pro on your computer. To edit the login and password in iCam Pro on your iPhone, click the "i" button in the bottom right corner of the screen. That button will take you to the Settings page, where you can edit the login and password.

There is more information about setting up iCam Pro here: http://skjm.com/icampro/help/

If you are still unable to connect, what error message are you seeing?
