No Sources Found
« on: May 11, 2010, 07:29:51 AM »
Hi, I've tried everything I know to do. My webcam is showing on my computer, but I'm getting No Sources Found. The firewall is set to allow. I'm using Built in Webcam on Windows 7. I don't understand what the problem is???? I'm excited to use this and just paid $5 for it lol.

I sent him IP Address, Just no answer yet.

Please get me running ASAP, using for my babies ;) Thanks!

P.S. Just to double to check, all I have to do is install the software, hit start (which is working and i see myself on the webcam), use same username for both iphone and software on comp, and should work. Right?

Can't wait to get it running!!!!

Oh, and by the way, I've tried on both 3G AND WiFi. Same results. Running 3GS iphone as well. Hope this helps.

You don't have any spaces or weird characters in your username and/or password, do you? I saw a post a few days ago where someone used the "&" symbol and the software didn't process it correctly. On your wifi (assuming you're connecting to the same router that your icamsource is connected to), it should definitely work without doing anything other than clicking start.

Here are my specs:

iPhone 4
iCam
iCamsource 1.4.2

mac pro with 24" LED Cinema Diplay built in iSight.
Airport network

--- I keep getting a No Sources Error.

I'm leaving to LA tomorrow, and I feel like I just wasted $$$! help.

No sources means one of 3 things:

1) icamsource.exe is not running on your computer or is running but is not "started" (look for start button)
2) for some reason (firewall blocking it), icamsource is not able to send/receive data from the iCam broker server
3) you aren't using the same password in both icamsource AND the iCam app....or you have weird characters that one of the two isn't translating correctly, tricking the system into thinking the usernames and/or passwords are different

wolfiemac - I sent this to you in an e-mail, but I figured I would post it here as well:

If your Mac OS X firewall is enabled in System Preferences > Security > Firewall, is the iCamSource one of the applications allowed to accept incoming connections?

Are you running the iCamSource application from your Applications folder?

When you click the Start button do you see your camera's preview video in the iCamSource Preferences window?
