iCam for WHS (Windows Home Server) run as service
« on: April 09, 2010, 01:44:09 AM »
Can you make it so iCam runs on Windows Home Server?   (as a service, since nothing is logged in full time)

I'd like to get all network / wireless web cams, and have them connect to the WHS for security recordings etc.

I have the HP MediaSmart EX495.

Thanks!
~Jon

We haven't tested iCamSource on Windows Home Server, but it should work as long as the prerequisites (.NET framework and Visual Studio libraries) are installed.  Does iCamSource run properly on your computer when you launch it normally (not as a service)?

Running the iCamSource as a service was recently discussed in this thread: http://skjm.com/forum/index.php?topic=447.0
