Latest update 01/2020 broke app

I’m running ipCam on an old 4S (as a webcam it’s a good image!).

On restart after the latest update 5 days ago (?) the app no longer runs. Screen flashes once then app disappears. It’s still in background as I can see it via Home button, but if selected it closes/goes to background immediately and doesn’t respond to external http requests.

Disappointing!

The latest version of ipCam requires iOS 12 or later (https://apps.apple.com/app/id440270152) so your phone shouldn't have tried to update it if it wasn't compatible.

You may be able to try deleting the app and re-installing the last compatible version, 1.2.1: https://macreports.com/how-to-install-apps-on-older-devices-running-older-versions-of-ios/

If that doesn't work, then I would suggest contacting Apple support, because this seems to be an issue with the App Store.
