We've had a couple other users report that Bouygues does not allow UDP traffic.  I wasn't able to find your IP address in the server logs, which either indicates that your iPhone had a poor 3G signal or that Bouygues does in fact block UDP traffic.  We believe that the Bouygues network does not allow outgoing UDP communication on its network, effectively cutting iCam off from the Internet. We have received e-mails from Bouygues employees inquiring as to how our software communicates over the Internet, but we have yet to hear of any resolution on the matter. I would recommend contacting Bouygues directly to see if their network currently supports outgoing UDP communication.

Same concern,
no progress since.
You should (must?)  add a note on the french app store description that bouygues client CAN'T use icam over edge and 3G as long as this issue is not resolved.

3 solutions:
1 change the way your icam software works in order to avoid this udp restriction, that's a solution you have in your hands
2 hope that bouygues one day will open udp ports, that's a solution nobody knows when it will be done.
3 suggest a way via cydia to bypass this udp/bouygues malarkey at least for ports 12000 to 12100
have been in touch with bouygues tech support for more than 20min, there are hopeless as they do promise UPD ports will be open during 2011...

it does remain me ichat vs skype.
ichat has sooooo many connection issues when skype was running perfectly all time !

Does UDP is the only way to do this ?

i mean, honestly, there are people here who bought the icam software and can't use it,
i know it's up to the carrier to open their ports, bladibla, but you know yourself, best case scenario it will take ages !

com'on find another way !  :'(

Hi I also have purchased Icam with the understanding cameras can be viewed using edge
And 3G , I am on the o2 network in the uk and have been unable as yet to view any camera
I have setup on edge and 3G. Wifi works excellently however, even from the cloud wifi provider and my dad
Network. Has anyone else had this problem, and maybe solved it, or is it going to be unto the nework provider? And if so there should be a warning in the AppStore listing of this shortfall. :(

@deriwills - Users on the O2 network should be able to connect via 3G and EDGE. What error message are you seeing when you are unable to connect via 3G or EDGE?
