Scheduled camera activation
« on: September 26, 2014, 07:46:22 AM »
Hello

I switched from cam to icam pro because i really needed to schedule starting and stopping camera activity (not only detection), to release computer power and consumption with camera ON when no need of activity to monitor (and ressources to consume).
I do not only want to start the iCamSource pro when computer start.
But… i discovered that this feature is still not available.
So question : now i have to pay to receive notifications by service add on, and i can detect sound event. Right. I can also have 16/9.
The image quality does not seem to be so refreshed  that the original version.
So what is the real need to upgrade ?

Do you plan to add scheduled activation of camera (on and off) in pro version ?

Best regards.

Sebastien.

Yes, that is correct. Some of the new features of iCam Pro include Sound Detection and 16:9.

For a feature comparison between the new iCam Pro and the original iCam please see our Support Pages here: http://skjm.com/icam/

A scheduled camera ON/OFF feature has been requested in the past and is currently on our list of potential features to implement in the future.

Yea, I was hoping this would have been added with the pro version as well. I've already written an app for myself that does this (scheduling iCam itself, not just motion detection + programming the schedule, setting iCam into "vacation mode", etc.—all from the iPhone/iPad ), but it'd really be a lot easier if this was just built into the app itself.
