iCamSource in OS X at login window?
« on: April 26, 2013, 01:22:14 PM »
So I've installed iCamSource on my iMac and set it up to dump out motion events to a folder and this all works great. But the computer is used by multiple family members and has multiple user accounts on it.

Obviously I can't leave my account signed in, but it seems that iCamSource stops monitoring as soon as I return to the Login Window? Is this true? Am I doing something wrong?

I hope I have something wrong as its a bit useless (for me) if I have to leave my account open the entire time it's running?

Thanks for any help!

Nobody has done this? I am only talking about returning to the user selection login window, not logging out totally (as I don't expect that to work).

If I was using an ip camera other than the iSight built into the iMac, would that work?

Unfortunately, Mac OS only allows the currently logged in user to access the camera, so we do not have any control over that.
