Feature Request: Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ)

Your application is the first one I installed, but I also tried another well know one.

And have reverted back to iCam because it is much better!!

However i really miss the ability to control the Pan/Tilt/Zoom (Logitech Orbit).

Is it possible to develop this functionality at all?

Oliver - I'm sure it's possible. I am assuming you're running Windows? Which application were you using before that supported PTZ?

Once we get sound in (which we are currently working on) that one will be on the list.

I would love to see support for pan / tilt in the future as I use the orbit from Logitech as well.  The iphone application that currently supports pan & tilt is called My Webcam.

I agree, as well.  I use another iPhone app to control PTZ of my wireless Trendnet IP cam and then go back to iCam to monitor.  It would be great to have in one app.

PTZ is a feature that we are looking into, yes.

What is the status here?  I just got the Foscam camera and REALLY WANT to stick with your software because it rocks.   Can I get PTZ?

PTZ control is still on our list of potential features to add to iCam in the future.  Unfortunately, I can't give really give a timeframe for the feature.  When deciding which features to add to iCam, it really comes down to which one is requested most and how difficult it is.  Adding PTZ for each camera manufacturer is a complex process, and the number of users requesting it is fairly small in comparison to some other requested features.
