Issue running iCam 2.3.1 BETA on WHS (Widows Home Server)
« on: August 30, 2011, 06:38:25 PM »
Hi : I am running into some issue while running iCam on my WHS. I originally had it running it was running fine for a few days (able to connect via the web client, iPhone and iPad) then i started getting. Source not found errors.

The basic behavior is that the app appears to get stuck (not quite hang - although it does that as well).

A few minutes ago i upgraded to the 2.3.1 release and it worked fine. connected right up - had web access, iPhone - no problem. then a few minutes go by and now the app (on the home server) says "connecting ... (Not Responding) and i'm back to the connection errors from all devices.

Any ideas on what to check? Thanks, love the product hoping i can get it work consistently

If you see the No Sources Found Error and "Connecting ..." then the iCamSource is unable to communicate with the iCam Broker Server, and is either being blocked by firewall or security software on your computer or your network. Please quit or disable all firewall software on the computer running iCamSource (temporarily) to see if iCam starts working.  If it does, we can configure the firewall to work with iCam.
