It is not necessarily "plug-and-play" but it is fairly straightforward to setup with the included setup instructions as long as you are using a Windows computer. If you are only running Mac OS X the AirLink cameras are not as easily configured, unfortunately. (The problem only comes in getting the camera connected to your local network. Once that is done, using a Mac is just as easy as using a Windows machine.)

OK so is there a setup guide if I am using a Mac only ?

I have:
Airlink101 AICN500W SkyIPCam500W Wireless Night Vision Network Camera - just got it today :)
iMac 20" aluminum late 07' model
AirPort extreme
iPhone 4

Thanks !!!

PS the setup works FLAWLESS with the built-in cam .... just need to get the wireless setup going.

Ok, here's an update.

I borrowed my friends sony laptop to get things going. Ugh I was so reminded of why i hate windows!
Any who, it was easiest to just download the program to setup the cam from airlinks site. And to my surprise it was pretty easy.
I got the cam to work on my setup as long as the cam is plugged into my router....

I'm not sure why I can't get it to run wireless

So close......

Yes, we run ours wirelessly. Does your WiFi password have any "strange" characters in it beyond numbers and letters? I believe that we had issues when the password had a '$' in it.

I am assuming that you are not using DHCP to assign the IP to the camera because the IP will change when it goes wireless.

It may be a WiFi configuration issue between your router and camera. I would try making your WiFi router's security settings as basic as possible to see if you can then connect with the camera and then start tightening them up again bit by bit (adding a simple password, then a more complex one, hiding the SSID) to see what trips it up.

I have the same setup as above (all Mac) and an airlink 1500w camera. The webcam works fine, and is visible on my iphone. The Airlink cam works fine wired, (though the iphone won't see it for some reason) but I don't know how to set up the wireless feature to operate. Do I need to give my wifi password to the camera? How do I do that with ipcamconfig? I don't use Windows. Do I access the camera via safari browser? The instructions in ipcamconfig stop after the camera is reconfigured, but don't go the next step in getting the wireless feature to work....
