i was looking at this camera from panasonic...any idea about its compatability with icam?

We haven't tested that model personally, but we have gotten a couple of reports of success from other iCam users.

I finally was able to get my D-Link DCS-920 up and running on my mac but I'm unable to set it up in icamsource. I've tried all the URL's. Any help would be appreciated!

I'd Like to add that the Vivotek 715x series of IP Cams also work with the Mac.

valiums - Have you tried the MJPEG URLs for D-Link cameras at http://skjm.com/icam/mjpeg.php ?

I believe that http://ip:port/video.cgi works for the DCS-900, so it may work for the DCS-920 as well.

I'm in the same boat as Vallium.  I picked up the DCS 920 from Best Buy, the only camera Best Buy in Lansing stocks. I'm able to view my camera by typing in the url but I can't get anything from icam. Would it help to include the source from the url that I'm loading?  Also, how do I know what port my cam is on?

I believe I have resolved this issue.  I had to put in the url as:http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80/IMAGE.jpg - you'll notice that I had to include the port.  In my case, the port was port 80 which I figured out by pulling up the source in safari (command + U).

Okay, so I have it all set up and working, but the images on my iphone and icam source only update about once every 8-15 seconds.  I'm still using the dlink 920.  Any suggestions.  for what it's worth, the macbook's cam is not experiencing the same problem, nor am i experiencing the same problem when i open the camera in a browser.

And, I might add, I had to have it on the medium resolution as opposed to the full resolution.

The "IMAGE.jpg" URL is most likely giving you a static JPEG image as opposed to an MJPEG stream ... Do you have the JPEG radio button selected on the iCamSource?

Actually, I believe the correct MJPEG URL for that camera is: http://<ip:port>/video.cgi
