MJPEG & JPEG Cameras

PLEASE NOTE : If your camera plugs into a USB or FireWire port in your computer or is Built-In to your monitor then you do not need to use an MJPEG URL. Your webcam should appear in the Video drop-down list under the USB / FireWire / Built-In tab of the iCamSource.

MJPEG & JPEG URL formats vary among different network camera manufacturers and even among different camera models from the same manufacturer.

When trying a URL, be sure to choose the appropriate MJPEG or JPEG option in the iCamSource.

Step 1: Enter the URL you use to connect to your camera:

For example:
http://192.168.1.240
http://mysite.dyndns.org:5000

Step 2: Select your camera's Manufacturer:

Please note that audio support for network IP cameras is currently limited to select devices.

If your camera manufacturer is not listed, or if none of the URLs work with your particular camera model, please contact your camera's manufacturer to see if your camera supports accessing its raw video feed via a JPEG or MJPEG URL over HTTP.
