Motion sensing cameras
« on: January 07, 2011, 06:19:00 PM »
Do my cameras need to have motion sensing built in so that I can take advantage of that feature with your software?  If not, please briefly explain how the sensing works - in general terms.

Thanks,
John

The camera doesn't need to have built-in motion sensing.

The iCamSource program captures video from the camera , and then compares sequential images to see if there is any change between them.  If there is enough change between the sequential images (determined by the Motion Sensitivity setting), then motion is detected and the appropriate action is performed (notification and/or recording).
