iCam Compatibility with Windows 7

I am having trouble getting the iCam software to work on my Windows 7 computer. I get this message, "Cannot find JPEG data. Your network IP camera may not be supported. Please click the "Help" button to verify the Camera URL for your network IP". When I access the webcam on my home network I can see it without any problems so I know it is broadcasting. I have a TrendNet TV-IP-100W wireless network camera.

I tried running the software on a Windows XP laptop and it keeps saying it is connecting but nothing happens.

Does iCam work on Windows 7 or can I only run it on a Vista or XP machine?

Are you sure you're entering the correct URL for the JPEG source from your IP camera? There's a link on the forum boards somewhere that will help you determine the correct URL for your camera if you aren't sure what it is. Are you sure you entered the username/password for the camera's video feed correctly in icamsource? I am running Windows 7 with icamsource (with multiple IP camera sources) just fine. I don't have any crashes or connections errors. I did take the time to set up manual port forwarding though.

I can go into the camera administration page and verify that address. I am definitely using the correct address. Now my laptop is displaying the same message so I don't think it is a Windows 7 specific issue. I have a feeling it is an issue with my router. Any suggestions?

Let me make sure I'm understanding you correctly...you problem isn't with iCam connecting to icamsource, but with icamsource connecting to the IP camera? If that's correct, you might try switching the camera to mjpeg mode instead of jpeg mode? If it were a router issue, I don't think you'd be able to access your IP camera's webpage through your computer's Internet browser. I would think it'd be an issue with the camera. Have you tried rebooting the camera?
