iCamSource window too small and not resizable
« on: July 21, 2009, 02:06:10 PM »
I was able to see video on my iphone when my camera was attached to the same pc as the router, but when I changed to a laptop the iphone no longer saw video. So, I ran the registry file on the laptop, then port-forwarded the range 12000-12100 to the ip address of the laptop. Now, the iCamSource application window on the laptop seems to be hosed - it's not big enough to display all of the objects that are on the window, e.g., the "Start" button at the bottom and the "Motion" slider at the right side. It's not resizable, so I can't make it bigger. Looks like the "Start" button doesn't get the focus because even though I can't see the button, I tried hitting return, to no avail.

Haven't seen this reported before - any ideas? I'm going to email my ip address separately to support.

Is this the Windows or Mac version of the software? Are you running the latest version, 1.3 from http://skjm.com/icam/support.php ?

If you could e-mail a screenshot of what the iCamSource looks like on your laptop to support@skjm.com then we can have a better idea of what the issue might be.

I have emailed you the screenshot.

This turned out to be a conflict with the ffdshow video decoder that was installed with the "K-Lite Codec Package." Setting an "exception" for iCamSource solved the problem with the dialog boxes and the very slow camera framerate I was seeing.

Sefan, feel free to edit this if you feel my description is inaccurate.
