iSpy Support / Sound Detection
« Last post by lionclaw on December 14, 2021, 11:52:47 PM »
It seems that iSpy is detecting sounds that are triggering it to record. I would like to disable this sound detection while still having the option of recording sound when it detects movement. How can this be done?
TIA

iSpy Support / PTZ arrow control
« Last post by lionclaw on December 11, 2021, 07:41:26 PM »
Is it possible to add PTZ arrow control to either the background or within the object frame of a PTZ camera, instead of the circle and line? I find the circle and line to be very flimsy and hard to control. This could be because my cameras were not on the list, and were installed through ONVIF, but either way I would prefer the arrow controls like you find in the PTZ setup.

I don't know what sort of quality you are looking for, but I bought a MISECU model XM-PTZ819-4X-20W, from AliExpress, for a lot less than $100 It can work with a network cable or Wifi,  and it works fine with iSpy.

iCam Support / Re: How to use my iphone as a source camera for Zoom
« Last post by phil_the on November 26, 2021, 06:23:22 AM »
I have just fell for this too. This website says that iCam allows your phone to be used as a webcam on your pc:
www.makeuseof.com/tag/use-your-iphone-as-a-webcam-heres-how-ios/
"iCam is a paid app that can turn an iPhone into a webcam. The mobile app is just one part of the equation; like EpocCam, you'll also need the iCamSource component on your computer. Once you have both apps installed, you can stream live video and audio from any iOS device."
it is very misleading. I actually purchased icam on my phone and downloaded icamsource to the PC, then realised that was the wrong way around for what I wanted, so I purchased iCamSource for the phone too before discovering that iCam is not available on the PC :-(
Can these misleading websites be reported to Google, so they stop showing up in search results?
Can you please put something on your home page and download page to clearly state that you can't use iCam to use your phone as a webcam for your PC?
Thanks
Phil

iCam Support / iCam on M1 MacMini - HELP
« Last post by vanboemmel on November 08, 2021, 12:17:01 AM »
Dear forum, good day!

we have been using iCam for many years. Many, many years!
Often it used to run on a MacMini and always without problems.

Now we moved the first time to a new MacMini with M1 Apple silicon and I have the first time problems.
Only I'm not sure if it's really the M1 or I just made a mistake.

I can connect through the app on my iPhone 12Pro, but I only see 1-2 cameras of my 6 cameras that are running through iCam.
These also show up for me in iCamSource 2.9 and run fine there as always.

I've already tried all possibilities, including configuring my MacMini to be "Exposed Host", so no firewall in front of it at all.

What can I do about it? Does anyone of you know a solution?
We have been part of the iCam family for so long and want to stay that way.  :D

Many greetings from Germany, Christoph

ipCam Support / Re: Flash time limit

Thanks for you reply.

It's intermittent. Sometime it never turns off and the flash stays on, but that's very rare. Mostly it happen within a minute or two. Tried three different iphones (5, 6S and 6S pluS) and same thing is happening over and over again.

We have not been able to reproduce this issue. It may be an issue with your phone specifically? Or perhaps it is getting hot from constantly running and the system is turning it off?

I've now observed that the flash is turning off intermittent. Sometimes after 5-10 seconds and sometimes after a minute. Then I have to  disable/enable the flash again via the webpage.

Any solution on this matter?

ipCam Support / Focus and frame rate
« Last post by Stout on October 06, 2021, 07:00:13 AM »
Is there any possibility to raise the frame rate in ipCam for iphone? As I understand, maximum is 15fps, but I would like to get higher because of stuttering video. 30fps would be great to have for a smooth view.

Also, is there a way to turn off auto focus? The reason for asking is that I'm using an iPhone to check my 3D printer and it's mounted on the printer to be able to view the correct angle of the nozzle. When the printer head is moving around the iPhone tries to focus all the time which makes it more blurry than sharp picture as it's sometime rapid moves.

In the iPhone photo settings it's possible to turn it off by pressing the focus point and hold it for a few seconds, but not in ipCam as far as I know?
