Anyone on getting it to run wirelessly ?

It's working great but to have a wireless cam that's only working while wired to my router ain't cutting it....

Need a little tech help please  ;D

Ok, here's an update.

I borrowed my friends sony laptop to get things going. Ugh I was so reminded of why i hate windows!
Any who, it was easiest to just download the program to setup the cam from airlinks site. And to my surprise it was pretty easy.
I got the cam to work on my setup as long as the cam is plugged into my router....

I'm not sure why I can't get it to run wireless

So close......

I know when I first start it on my Mac the easiest way to find it is by clicking the magnifying glass in the top right corner, it will open "spotlight", you can simply type in icam and it will bring it right up for you. Just click icam when it comes up.
Now if it does not show up from there then it is either not installed or something very odd has happened that I have no explanation for.

It is not necessarily "plug-and-play" but it is fairly straightforward to setup with the included setup instructions as long as you are using a Windows computer. If you are only running Mac OS X the AirLink cameras are not as easily configured, unfortunately. (The problem only comes in getting the camera connected to your local network. Once that is done, using a Mac is just as easy as using a Windows machine.)

OK so is there a setup guide if I am using a Mac only ?

I have:
Airlink101 AICN500W SkyIPCam500W Wireless Night Vision Network Camera - just got it today :)
iMac 20" aluminum late 07' model
AirPort extreme
iPhone 4

Thanks !!!

PS the setup works FLAWLESS with the built-in cam .... just need to get the wireless setup going.

I am annoyed that there is no option available to remove the camera icon from the menu bar.
MacBook User

Are you using the built-in cam or did you hook up a wireless one ???

iCam Support / Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 on Mac w/AirPort Extreme help
« on: June 09, 2011, 03:22:25 PM »
went with the Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 to try. It is a usb cam but my airport extreme is close enough to where i need it i can have it plugged in.

my question is how do i set it up?

I plugged the cam into the airport extreme and cant find it in the prefs for the airport ?

I then plugged it directly into my imac and opened photobooth to make sure it worked and was recognized by the computer. It was and worked. So i closed out photobooth and opened the prefs for icam and it did not see the cam as an option.

thoughts ?

iCam Support / Best setup suggestions please. Mac user
« on: June 07, 2011, 11:18:55 PM »
So I got the app last night and got it working through my iMacs built-in webcam in about 5 minutes. Played on my iPhone 4 as well as my girlfriends at her house. SWEET !!!

Now I want to set-up a cam for the dog lol... thats the real purpose of my setup.

What I have:
Late 07' iMac 20"
Airport Extreme
iPhone 4

I would like to use a wireless cam but if I really had to I could hook up the cam direct to my Airport Extreme as it is very close to where the dog stays when we are out.
The cam will be in the kitchen with low light at night and about 8 feet away. Its close so I want something that will give a wide angle shot, I would say.

So knowing my setup I'd like to hear what cam will work best and easiest to setup and have working with ease.

Thanks for the help and input !

FYI there is a MicroCenter near me so if theres something here it would really be great!
