iCam Support / Prevent "downloading" of cgi file
« on: January 13, 2011, 08:52:22 AM »
I am trying to view one of my cameras and IE 8 keeps trying to download the cgi file. I asked SKJM support and they think the file format that my camera will view in is the cgi. Is there a way to make IE 8 or Windows 7 not want to download the cgi file so I can setup my new camera?

I am using a TrendNET IP-TV100W that works fine on iCam. I am having trouble with a TrendNET IP TV121W Camera.

Thanks

Apologies again, I clicked on that link and I could only see snapshots of my camera. Is there a link I can go to that will allow me to watch a live stream of my camera?

Is there a way to monitor your iCam from another computer? I have an iPad and a Droid phone but sometimes I am not near a wireless or 3G signal. Is there a way I can view this on my computer from work?

I can go into the camera administration page and verify that address. I am definitely using the correct address. Now my laptop is displaying the same message so I don't think it is a Windows 7 specific issue. I have a feeling it is an issue with my router. Any suggestions?

iCam Support / iCam Compatibility with Windows 7

I am having trouble getting the iCam software to work on my Windows 7 computer. I get this message, "Cannot find JPEG data. Your network IP camera may not be supported. Please click the "Help" button to verify the Camera URL for your network IP". When I access the webcam on my home network I can see it without any problems so I know it is broadcasting. I have a TrendNet TV-IP-100W wireless network camera.

I tried running the software on a Windows XP laptop and it keeps saying it is connecting but nothing happens.

Does iCam work on Windows 7 or can I only run it on a Vista or XP machine?
