Do you see the same behavior in other browsers, such as Firefox?

No, iCamSource uses the directory name to uniquely identify each motion event.

The new Beta version is available here: http://skjm.com/forum/index.php?topic=3767.0

It has a fix for a bug that caused framerate problems similar to yours, so hopefully, this version will resolve your problem.

hanon8, currently the only cameras with PTZ support are the cameras listed in the first post of this thread, so it won't work with your particular camera.

Does the Dynex camera work properly in other video capture programs, such as iChat or Photobooth?

Does the Dynex camera work in iCamSource if you only run the Dynex by itself (i.e. delete the iSight entry in the iCamSource Cameras list)?

Thanks for your suggestions.  Some of those are already on our list of potential features for iCam, and I'll add the rest to the list.

Do you see this same behavior if you only run one of the cameras in iCamSource?

Also, does selecting JPEG mode in iCamSource (instead of MJPEG) have any effect on the problem?

I'm glad you got it working!

For future reference, there is the FAQ and Getting Started information on the iCam Support page (http://skjm.com/icam/support.php).  This particular issue is discussed in the FAQ under the question "Why can't I hear any audio?".

The Logitech PTZ support is Windows-only.  Unfortunately, Logitech doesn't provide any method for controlling the cameras on a Mac.

ipCam Support / Re: how to hear ipcam audio on android phone?
« on: December 13, 2011, 11:28:22 AM »
ipCam uses HTML5 for it's video+audio stream, so any browser that supports HTML5 should work with it.  From our testing, the included Android web browser doesn't support the video+audio stream, but the Firefox Android web browser does.  You can get Firefox from the Android App Market.

JoeB72 - There was a bug in versions 2.4 and 2.4.1 that prevented the Logitech PTZ functions from working correctly in certain situations.  That particular bug has been fixed in version 2.4.2.

You can get version 2.4.2 here: http://skjm.com/icam/iCamSetup2.4.2.exe

Please let me know if that fix resolves your problem.

Thanks to some debugging help from HolmanGT and others, I think we have a fix for this particular bug.

To get the fix, download and run this installer file: http://skjm.com/icam/iCamSetup2.4.1.exe

The installer will update iCamSource to version 2.4.1.

Please let us know how it goes (success or failure).  If it looks like it's working for everybody in this thread, we'll release it on the main download page.

The temporary files are not created by any of the iCamSource code, so there aren't any changes we can make in iCamSource that would effect this.

What are the exact Audio source entries that you tried?  Were they all USB audio sources?

If motion detection is disabled, then the only processing done by iCamSource is that it resizes the image from the webcam and then sends it to the phone.  That shouldn't be affected in any way by movement in front of the camera.

Have you tried changing the image quality slider in iCamSource (Better Frame Rate -> Better Image Quality)?  Does that have any effect on this behavior?

Network / IP Camera Compatibility / Re: Audio over IP now possible??

There wasn't a poll.  Around 10% of the iCamSources that connect to our iCam Broker Server are connecting to network IP cameras as opposed to USB / FireWire / Built-In webcams.
