Asante Voyager --- URL ?
« on: June 22, 2010, 04:17:00 AM »
Hi,

I just purchased your program and am trying to view my camera using iCamSource.

My Camera is an Asante Voyager I running 2.02 firmware. It can stream MJEP.

I am using the following URL:

http://ip.ip.ip.ip/image.jpg?type=motion

I found that URL from the following forum:

http://www.crazypixels.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&p=1002

Anyway -- no dice. I get an error from iCamSource
" your network camera can not be connect to "

Any ideas of what to try next ?

BTW - the Asante works from my LAN and can also be viewed from the WAN by using IE or Firefox.

Thanks for any suggestions !

Best Regards,

Bob

Hi,

I just tried the Live Cams iPhone app and it seems to work fine.

I am able to view my Asante Voyager on my iPhone with this app.

I purchased your Icam/Icamsource app yesterday and would like to use it also -- for the motion detection feature.

I look forward to your feedback regarding your app on this Asante camera.

Best Regards,

Bob

Are you using the internal IP address of the camera, and is your camera listening on a port other than the default, 80?

The MJPEG URL that we have in our database (http://skjm.com/icam/mjpeg.php) is: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/image.cgi

Where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is your camera's internal IP address.

If you are using a custom port, the URL would be http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:yyyy/image.cgi

Where yyyy is the port.

What is the URL that you use to connect to the camera in your web browser from your computer?

Hi,

Yeppers -- "another" Port issue  ;)

This is what I used based on your suggestion and the fact that I am using a re-directed  ( NON Port 80 ) setup

http://ip.ip.ip.ip:PORT/image.jpg?type=motion

And.........

It works !!

Ain't Science wonderful

Thanks for your FAST feedback.

Best Regards,

Bob
