WVC80N and Audio
« on: August 07, 2010, 06:31:09 AM »
Just got WVC80N camera and the video works great.

Want to try the audio so in the camera I have "Enable Microphone" but no audio from iCam, my iSight camera in my MacBook sends the audio no problem.

Any thing Im doing wrong?

No, not doing anything wrong. Network IP camera support is currently video only.

Does Apple now allow you guys to do 1-way or 2-way audio over 3G/WiFi? That would be really cool to be talk to the person infront of the camera  8) :P

When iCam was first developed doing any kind of voice-over-IP on the 3G network was not allowed, although that may not be the case anymore.

Agreed, that would be really awesome. I'd buy one of those IP cameras with a 2-way mic and install it on/near my front door so I could shew away all of the sales people and day laborers that come by on an almost daily basis...without answering the door.
