Uninstalling
« on: May 14, 2010, 04:12:08 AM »
I had to uninstall iCam because for some reason, the Visual Studio was giving me trouble trying to update iTunes & Quicktime. Now I'm trying to reinstall but it keeps telling me another installation is in progress. I'm running Windows XP and used the Windows Add/Remove programs to uninstall.

Have you tried rebooting and then reinstalling?

If rebooting doesn't resolve the issue, then maybe the un-installation of the previous version didn't finish successfully.

Microsoft has a utility called the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.  It's available here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Please try that utility on iCamSource.  If it's successful, re-download the iCamSource installer to see if it works.

I got it. I had to clear out all my Temp folders and then reboot. That got it to install again.
