Second camera on recognized on drop down list
« on: September 06, 2018, 05:02:18 AM »
I'm sorry if this has appeared on the boards before, but there are too any posts to go through.  I'm trying to use iCam to set up a nanny-cam scenario for my pets.  I have two cameras, one is built into my laptop, the other is a USB webcam.  The problem that I'm having is that the USB camera is not recognized when I try to add a second camera.  The drop-down menu for selecting the source only lists my built-in camera.  Any suggestions?  I'm in a little bit of a panic and rush because I think my dog may be having seizures when I'm not home and I need to know if this happens.

Thanks!

Stefan

When you launch the iCamSource, do both cameras show up in the Video drop-down list? Is there any other application running that may be using the other webcam, preventing it from being accessed by the iCamSource?

Have you tried rebooting to see if both cameras then show up in the iCamSource list? Does the webcam work with other applications on your computer?
