How's that Windows version coming along? I'm eagerly awaiting it. Will it be under the Christmas tree? :) Or maybe in an Easter egg instead?

It's still coming, although there have been a lot of set-backs in the development. :(

But it is still a top priority!

I am highly interested in these cameras, especially since they have outdoor cameras as well.  This is the links of the IP cameras they offer.  Is there away you can look at the cameras specs and see which ones would work with your system?  The outdoor cameras highly intrigue me.

Thank you!  Look forward to the Windows version!

Hi SKJM

Please can you tell me if there is a way to configure IP cameras which use RTSP over UDP rather than TCP?

Regards

TB

To add detail I have attempted to add just as RTSP://user:pwd@xx.xx.xx.xx:554/onvif1, and using this in VLC brings up the video stream ok. In iCamSource Pro however, the error is:

openInputStreamWithURL ERROR - "Invalid data found when processing input" (-1094995529)

According to VLC the codec is H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) @ 1280 x 720. There is an attached audio stream, Mono PCM ALAW @8000Hz, 16 bits.

Hope some of this info helps determine the problem.

Is your camera using RTSP over UDP, and you are wanting to configure it to use RTSP over TCP instead? If so, I would suggest contacting the camera manufacturer for specific instructions.

Thanks for the reply Stefan. I am not trying to change the camera to TCP, I am trying to find out if there is a way to make iCamSource Pro see the RTSP over UDP feed, either by configuration in iCamSource Pro, or via the URL to be used?

The error:

openInputStreamWithURL ERROR - "Invalid data found when processing input" (-1094995529)

... suggests that it may be seeing something, but I wanted to check with the expert  :)

Hi Stefan

I have put aside the other camera with the UDP RTSP feed (!), and gone with the forum recommendation of Amcrest cameras, namely an IP2M-841W and an IPM-721S. I was hoping the PTZ would work from the iOS app but it doesn't seem to work for me. I'm getting video and audio ok on 1.3.4.7 - is there anything specifically I need to do to get PTZ working for the Amcrests?

Regards

D.

When is windows source version going to be released?  Current version keeps crashing it’s such a pain to run it I just about mostly gave up on it. I run the new beta on a iMac and it’s a dream. Only time it’s not running is when I reboot the iMac. If I had a Mac I would of switched by now but cheap windows machine is what I had. So waiting patently waiting on stable windows source.

We're definitely still working on the Windows version. We've had a number of challenges, so it's been slow going ... But it is still coming!

If the existing Windows version is crashing, is it when it has been running for a while? Or does it crash right after launching or clicking Start?

Using the "normal" URL for my Wansview P2P, it showed in the preview window nicely at first. After about 3 minutes, I received a 400 Error, and have not been to load the camera after that.
In other words, I now receive the 400 Error immediately.
LQQKIng forward to the Windows version!!
