Orientation flipped since iOS 9
« on: October 05, 2015, 07:17:03 AM »
Ever since iOS 9 came out, the orientation of iCam is flipped when the phone is in orientation lock mode. I mean, I used to have the home button on the right when in landscape mode, now the app is upside down and I need to hold the home button to the left. Is there a way to fix this?

The default lock orientation may have changed with the recent iOS update. Unfortunately, that is not something we have control over.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Well it doesn't happen with all applications. Most everyone else must be doing something right.

I don't have orientation lock set on my iPad, but the screen revolves 360 degrees on startup - this cannot be normal.

If you launch the app with the Orientation Lock turned off it should rotate to whichever orientation the device is currently in. Once it has rotated, you can turn the Orientation Lock on while the app is still running the lock it in place. Is that not working for you?

With lock off it rotates 360 degrees. But that means a lot of effort in total  to bypass a programming error.

no update on this? I can post a video but here's what's happening:

Orientation lock disabled: App is launched, defaults to the old view, with home button on the right. Flip it around and the orientation flips, as expected.

Orientation lock enabled: App is launched, defaults to old view for a half second, then automatically flips to opposite orientation. Home button is on the left. It's quite comical and I'm sure not intentional behavior or some default behavior in iOS.

Let me know if you want the video.

Here's a gif of this goofy behavior. This is with orientation lock enabled.

Thank you for your post!

We were able to replicate the issue and will have it fixed in the upcoming update.
