I have iTunes match and some iTunes credit so I can't change store. I'm in the UK.

Update: After reviewing the Apple Developer Forums it looks like this is an issue for ALL in-app purchases for ALL apps in EVERY country's App Store EXCEPT the United States.

If you are outside of the US and look at any app's In-App Purchase descriptions, are they all blank?

Here is what non-US App Store users are seeing when viewing in-app purchases in the App Store: http://pic.twitter.com/ddtKPv2FXt

Unfortunately we must now wait for Apple to fix this issue on all of the non-US App Stores. Hopefully they will remedy the situation quickly once they all wake up in Cupertino.

Update : An Apple representative in Cupertino has just responded in the Developer Forum thread about this problem that they are currently looking into the issue.

If changing Region/Country is the only solution, it will not work for me. The reason given is that one cannot switch region if there is a balance on his Apple Account.
Is there no other solutions? Why did this suddenly happen anyway? I've been using iCam for years and it has been working just fine.

Unfortunately we know of no other solution short of waiting for Apple to fix the problem with their non-US App Stores. We don't know why they introduced the problem, but they say that they are aware of it and are working on a solution.

We are surprised and dismayed that Apple has yet to fix the problem, and that they have yet to give any further updates on the status of the situation.

You can see the problem further illustrated in the various iCam App Store links below.

The US App Store link shows the correct In-App Purchase descriptions: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/icam-webcam-video-streaming/id296273730?mt=8&uo=4

But the following non-US stores still show the blank descriptions:

United Kingdom : https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/icam-webcam-video-streaming/id296273730?mt=8&uo=4
Australia : https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/icam-webcam-video-streaming/id296273730?mt=8&uo=4
Japan : https://itunes.apple.com/jp/app/icam-webcam-video-streaming/id296273730?mt=8&uo=4
France : https://itunes.apple.com/fr/app/icam-webcam-video-streaming/id296273730?mt=8&uo=4
Canada: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/icam-webcam-video-streaming/id296273730?mt=8&uo=4

You can search for "icam" in any country's iOS Apps list using Apple's iTunes Link Maker web site: http://linkmaker.itunes.apple.com/

Actually, just after posting those links it does appear that the Australian store does now also include the descriptions. Apple may currently be rolling out a fix.

Can any Australian users confirm if iCam is still now crashing for you, and if the descriptions are showing up in your store?

Now the UK and France links seem to contain the descriptions, but still not Japan or Canada.

EDIT : Now it looks as if the UK store descriptions have disappeared again. *sigh*

Changing the country for our Apple ID to Australia on our iPhone still results in a crash, and the descriptions don't yet show up in the App Store app on our phone, but hopefully what we are seeing on the Australian App Store web links means that the fixes should be rolling out through the various parts of the stores soon.

Glad to hear it. It does appear that when we change our Apple ID to Australia that yes, it does appear to be fixed for us as well. Hopefully the fix will roll out to the other countries' stores soon.

Hopefully soon I can take a nap after being up for most of the night.  :)
