Run external script when motion detected?
« on: June 24, 2012, 03:20:17 AM »
Hi,

I'm currently trying out iCamSource and iCam on Android and iPhone.  It works amazingly well.  A nice-to-have feature would be the ability to run an external program when motion is detected.  What I'm trying to do here is take high resolution pictures using a tethered high resolution camera (and copy the files to Dropbox, alongside iCamSource's JPEGs) but I guess there can be many other uses for this.

Thank you for your post.

That is not a feature that has been requested in the past. We will add it to our list of potential features to implement in the future.

In Windows, is there a certain event that is (or could be) logged in the Event Viewer when motion is detected? If so, a custom task/program can be scheduled based on that event.
