icam freezes

I have mutiable cameras setup on two diffrent computers.  One camera on pc1 runs 24/7 no problem. pc2 has two cameras. cameres on pc2 freeze every night.

What operating systems are the two computers running, and what type (USB, WiFi, etc.) of cameras are they connected to? Are the computers set to restart or go to sleep?

How does the camera freeze? Does the iCamSource crash, lock up, disappear?

The PC is running WinXP.  WE have two cameras both are connected via USB. Logitech QuickPro 9000 and a Logitech QuickCam E 3000.  They freeze they look like a still shot.  We have to reboot to free it up.

Do you have the latest drivers installed for the two separate cameras?

Does it usually only freeze overnight? Or do they freeze after a number of hours? Can you click the Stop button on the iCamSources? Does the computer completely lock up, or just the iCamSources?

Both drivers are up to date.  It'll freeze up at any time. Sometimes it'll work fine for 4-5 hours other times just an hour. Comp does not lock up and it is not set to sleep or restart.  icamsource doesnt lock up and we can click stop.
Note:  sometimes only 1 camera shows up in the icamsource.  After rebooting the comp then both show up.  Thats happened twice -- about a week apart

Are the cameras plugged directly into the computer, or are they connected via a USB hub?

Hmm, that might be the issue, as there may not be enough power on the USB bus to support both of the extensions consistently.

Have you tried running them without the extensions to see if that makes a difference?

one of the cameras(E-3500) has been running fine for two days now(a first).  will try connecting the other w/o extension to see if that makes a diff.  Let u know
