trying to set up a schedule

Hi I just bought this, and may be missing something in the directions. Either that or i'm just stupid.
I keep getting push notifications to my iphone, even though the schedule says otherwise. I don't want push or recording friday-sunday, but for some reason i'm getting them, today, on a friday, even though the boxes for both are not selected.
