Computer connected via cable to wifi router
« on: June 22, 2011, 02:50:03 PM »
Hi,

I'm having some trouble getting all this to work.

I have a USB Wireless IBB-80013 webcam, and a USB receiver connected to my PC.

My connections:
- PC is wired to the Wi-Fi router
- Wi-Fi router is connected to my ISP Router (for Internet)
- iPhone is connected to my Wi-Fi router... wirelessly :)

I have iCam Source 2.2.3 installed in my PC, and running OK (broadasting my webcam signal), but in my iPhone (connected via Wi-fi) I can't see the iCam broadcast... what do I need to do to make this work, please?

Thanks!

If you're seeing the Source Connection Error when your phone and computer are connected to the same network, that indicates the problem is caused by firewall software on the computer, since the network traffic isn't going through the router in that case. You can always try turning off the firewall to see if that's the cause.  Please quit or disable all firewall software on the computer running iCamSource (temporarily) to see if iCam starts working. If it does, we can configure the firewall to work with iCam.
