Netbook webcams windows 7 starter
« on: May 31, 2011, 09:21:42 AM »
Hi,

I am an iphone and mac user and have been using icam for about a year. It works good, except for the low frame per sec. I haven't really mind it since I just need to know there is movement and video is ok. I think I just need to play around with the settings.

Anyway, now I need to monitor my mother who lives alone. I was thinking of buying a netbook for this purpose. The netbook has a webcam (only 0.3 Mpixels) and windows 7 starter. Has icam been tested with any netbook?

Also, I want to monitor it with my iphone. So I will have two homes to monitor with one iphone and two different types of computers mac and windows ps's.  Is this possible. How do I manage on ihone?

Thanks

Others users do use iCam with netbooks, yes.

You can monitor multiple computers by using the same iCam Login and Password combination in both iCamSources and iCam.

OK,

Now that I have both the netbook and mac versions working, I would like to know how to setup email alerts from motion detected from both. Is it possible? I have email alerts for one now, how do I do the other?

Thanks

iCam uses push notifications, not email notifications. Are you referring to push notifications?

Please make sure that push notifications are enabled for the second camera.

Also, are you able to view both cameras on your iPhone and are both cameras using the same exact login/password as iCamSource.
