I am not sure what you mean by "iPhone webcam" ...  ???

iCam (running on your iPhone) will connect to the iCamSource application (running on your computer that is connected to your Logitech webcam) and allow you to view your Logitech webcam's video feed on your iPhone. The iCamSource application will also show a preview of your Logitech webcam's video stream, so you will be able to view your Logitech webcam's video freed on your computer and your iPhone at the same time.

If that didn't answer your questions, please let me know.

yes, that does. I want to make sure though. I meant to say if i can use my iphone and my webcam at the same time. Suppose i have your webcam software downloaded on my iphone and pc. My webcam is located in my house but i want to see my house even when i leave the house on my iphone. Is it capable with 3g? I want my webcam and the iphone to appear on the pc screen as well as on my iphone. And another question - i have a webcam in another country will i be able to see whats happening with my iphone?

Thank you!

Yes, you will be able to see your webcam over 3G when you are away from home and when you are in another country. All you need is an Internet connection.

Yes, you will be able to view your webcam using iCam on your iPhone or iCamWeb using your Internet browser on your computer...assuming you install icamsource and correctly set it up on any computers that will be streaming a video feed. Will someone be around your computer in the other country to restart the computer/etc if something goes wrong? If not, I would highly encourage you to set up manual port forwarding for icamsource. I would also set icamsource to run as a service if on a Windows PC...and look into setting the bios to restart the computer should a power failure occur. With icamsource as a service, it would start automatically (enable auto-start in icamsource the 1st time you set it up) when the computer powers up after a power outage. Also make sure you have set up remote access on your computer so you can login from your current country and change settings, etc. Some important questions you should consider too:

1) Does your Internet provider block UDP traffic? If so, iCam won't work.
2) Does your Internet provider force your Internet connection to terminate after a certain number of hours? I think a previous poster said they lose their connection every 24 hours in Germany...and they had to rig their modem/router to restart every single day. If you're depending on this for any type of security purpose, you want to make sure you won't have any unexpected surprises.

I want this software to let me join the logitech webcam. I thought this software would join the logitech webcam and and i can see what my logitech is seeing from the computer as well as from the iphone. Yes, there is a person that can install the software in the other country and yes, they do have internet and light problem sometimes but thats fine. I bought $130 logitech webcams and i just wanted the icam or any other product to join or have a two way system so i can see the webcam on the computer and my iphone at the same time. So i am wondering it will not work? i would have to install icamweb and then it will work but i need a product that would let me view it ont he iphone with my logitech software that has been already installed.

Based on what you said, it sounds like you are wanting to use the webcam's original software for chat on programs like MSN, Yahoo, Skype, etc...but still be able to view the webcam in icamsource. If your goal is, in fact, to be able to use the webcam with 2 programs (icamsource and a chat program), that is possible...but you will need to download/install a free program called ManyCam. This program will clone your video so multiple programs can use the video stream at the same time. You might have to change the video source in your Logitech software to ManyCam instead of the USB camera. Here is how I set up my system with a webcam:

1) installed ManyCam (free)
2) configured ManyCam to use the webcam as the video source
3) optional if you want to use the special effects that come with the webcam's software - configured the webcam's software source from the USB camera to the ManyCam source
4) configured my chat software (MSN, Yahoo, Skype, etc) to use the webcam's software (or ManyCam if you skip step 3)
5) installed and configured icamsource to use ManyCam

If you don't need to use the webcam with any chat programs, you can install only icamsource. Once icamsource is installed/configured, you will be able to view the camera from your phone and from icamweb (it's a website...not a program).

Regardless of what you decide to do, iCam will do what you want it to do...
