question from a new user

Hey All,

   I had a bunch of questions...but seems like reading through the forums answered most of them. Thnks. However, I have one left.

-With the current setup (icamsource needs to be running even with IP cams and everything records to your comp's hd)...does this mean that if a crook broke in to my place, i would need to get to my icam app quick enough to take snapshots before he/she shuts off my computer or turns off icamsource (that's prob why there are push notifications). But, what if it just all happens to fast or you can't open the app right away and they've taken all your stuff. Guess you're pretty much out of luck then, right?

If you use only icamsource, then you are correct. However, there is a free program (also app for iPhone) called Dropbox that will upload specified files to their servers. The program monitors specified folders for any new files and uploads them immediately. So download install Dropbox on your computer, then change the recording folder in icamsource to the Dropbox folder. I use it and it works flawlessly...and you can't beat the price of FREE.
