Can't download?

i tried to install the software and i get this warning


An error occurred while downloading a required file. You may retry downloading the file or cancel setup.

then i click on the details tab and it says

I am unable to access the locals folder. So i need help getting this working please

It looks like it's trying to update your version of Windows Installer.  Have you tried manually downloading and running the file at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=49256 ?  It should update your Windows Installer.  Then try running the iCamSource installer again.

That is the page at Microsoft to download Windows Installer.

i cant even access the sites. i got here and when i hit download both ie and Firefox wont load it -_-

Those are both public URL's at Microsoft, they should work.  Are you able to get to www.microsoft.com in your browser?

i am ale to go to the website. But i think my computer has a viruses which won't let me download them from the site. Only thing i can think of

Have you run an anti-virus program? 

If you don't have one, there are several free ones.  I use AVG, which is available at http://free.avg.com, but there are other free ones around.

I did a virus scan and came up with nothing. Might be just cause my computer is old and sucks

Try downloading and running the Windows Installer file here: http://skjm.com/icam/WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe

This is the same file as from the Microsoft link.  If it installs correctly, then try running the iCamSource installer again.

Hi!

I bought ICAM yesterday and TRIED to download ICAMSOURCE to my laptop running Vista and I keep getting the error that windows can not download it. Bummer....can you help me get it working, please!

I only want to use iCAM on my laptop, but this morning I thought I would try to download it to my PC running XP and the same thing happens.

Is something wrong with your software? Please advise...I would REALLY love to get  your program up and running on my iPhone!!!! Oh yeah, I tried running Windowsinstaller.exe ...it doesnt work either!

If you are having trouble downloading that file to your computer, do you perhaps have some sort of security software installed that might be preventing you from downloading executables? You seem to be having trouble downloading a file from our web server which thousands of other users have been able to do, so it must be some specific setting on your network or computer. Have you perhaps tried a different web browser?

ty very much. With the download thing you gave me i was able to download it and run it. I installed icam now, just gotta run it now lol =). I appreciate all the help you gave me.

well i downloaded it, when i run and click start after putting in a username and password, i get the message it ecountered an error and needs to close. Any ideas

i tried updating to .netframe work 3.5 but my computer wont connect to the sever =/

demonslyer-  In addition to the Windows Installer, there are 2 other prerequisites from Microsoft that are necessary for iCamSource. The first is the Visual Studio dll redistributable and the second is the .Net framework.

1) download vcredist_x86.exe from here: http://skjm.com/icam/vcredist_x86.exe and run it.  If it installs successfully, try running iCamSource again and see if it works.  If it doesn't work, try step 2.

2) download the .Net 3.0 installer from here: http://skjm.com/icam/dotnetfx3.exe and run it.  It's about 50 MB, so it might take a while to download.  Then try running iCamSource again.
