What is the exact error message you are seeing?  There are a few messages that refer to the Broker Server.

If it's the Broker Connection Error, that error indicates that your iPhone isn't able to connect to the Broker Server.  If you see that error intermittently, it usually indicates that you have a poor wireless data signal on your iPhone at that moment.  If you you're seeing it every single time your run the program, it probably indicates that the network your iPhone is connected to is blocking the UDP protocol used by iCam.

If you're seeing the Source Connection Error, then we have a new BETA version of iCamSource that might resolve your problem.  The new BETA version of iCamSource is available for download at:

Windows:  http://skjm.com/icam/iCamSetup1.4.2.6.exe

Mac:  http://skjm.com/icam/iCamSource1.4.2.6.dmg

If you could check the Auto-Config Router checkbox before clicking the Start button, the iCamSource will attempt to automatically forward a port in your router. When you click the Start button, what status message appears above the Auto-Config Router Port checkbox?

The error message is, one or more of the icamsources returned by the icam broker server could not be connected to.... I tried downloading the beta version and all it did was open my icam source, so i am assuming i already had the beta version. I put auto figuration on and this gives me another error which says, (Error : UPnP 3 : NAT-PMP 3,-7,61)

Have you enabled uPNP in your router settings? Icamsource is attempting to change the settings via uPNP, but can't do so until you enable uPNP in the router.

Hi,

I have e-mailed you earlier with exactly the same problem:
"Wifi it works fine, as soon as no wifi I can't connect to icam and get the error "Source connection error".
I have travelled from Romford, Essex, UK. To Hertfordshire, Uk.
I get 5 bars service and 3G each time I've tried at home and on route and now I'm here but still same error."

I have now returned home and downloaded the new beta version as you suggested above. (1.4.2.6)

When i tick the "Auto Config Router" box i'm getting this error when I start the cam:
Error : UPnP 0 : NAT-PMP 3.-5.0

Any help you can giv me on this would be appreciated...

Regards,

Gavin.

P.s I'm using Windows 7, A Wanadoo/Orange Livebox (on Wifi)
iPhone 4 on iOs 4.0.1

Hi,

Just a quick note to let you know i've now fixed the problem...

Although I had tried everything, I didn't restart my router!

As soon as I restarted my router, it now works on wifi and 3G.

Here's the link to the page (in this forum) that tells you what to do.... (and don't forget to restart your computer and router when your done!)
http://skjm.com/forum/index.php?topic=402.0
(It's the section about opening the ports on your router)

Make sure you take it slowly when following the instructions step by step as if you miss anything it still wont work...

Regards,

Gavin.
