Feature / Request - Record button

I searched and couldnt find anything.  Is there a way to have the webcams start records?  Like if I just want it to start recording for a period of time and then stop, regardless of motion.

Is there anything I am missing or is this not possible?

No, you haven't missed anything. Stop/Start Record regardless of motion has been requested in the past and is currently on our list of potential features to implement in the future. Unfortunately, we do not have any immediate plans to implement this feature.
