Close Icam source app while camera is on
« on: January 20, 2015, 07:46:04 PM »
Hello,

I am using an iphone 4 as the Icam Source (iphone 5 as the Icam) and want to use it as a nanny cam.  I would like to prop the phone up somewhere and not have the picture of what is being recorded shown.  As of now, if I close the app, or turn the screen off or anything like that, the camera stops.  Can someone please tell me how to get the camera to continue without it showing up on the screen of my iphone 4?  Thanks!

Apple does allow apps to run in the background, however, they don’t allow access to the camera while the app is in the background, so ipCam won’t work in the background.

You can darken your screen if you single-tap the preview view.
