Supporting two webcam same reference
« on: December 14, 2012, 02:27:17 PM »
Good Evening,

I'm finding a problem configuring the iCamSource, this is the setup:

PC: Intel Core i3 M330 @2.13GHz, 4GB RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Windows is fully upgraded and with the latest drivers

Cams:
- Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000 (Cam 1)
- Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000 (Cam 2)
- USB 2.0 UVC WebCam (Integrated webcam in the laptop) (Cam 3)

All of the cameras start without problem, and are plugged in directly to de usb port (without extensions or hubs).

When I try to add all the cams, the iCamSource blocks all of them (i cannot access them via skype or any other video capture sw), but as for the LifeCams (Cam 1 and 2), they won't work in tandem, I can start the streaming but it doesn't show a preview of the LifeCam that's further down the Cameras List, nor it will send anything to my iPhone iCam, but when i try starting any LifeCam with the integrated webcam (Cam 3), it'll start without any problem.

In summary, the problem resides when I try to start the LifeCams together.

HELP!!  :'( :'( :'( :'( I need to have this setup ready really soon because I have to travel and need both eyes in the sky

It is most likely an issue with a USB bus limitation. Do you have a lot of other USB peripherals plugged into your computer in addition to the webcams?

Have you tried running iCamSource with just one camera connected to your computer? If not, please do so.
