Foscam FI8910W (Black) Wireless N IP Camera
« on: August 08, 2012, 08:00:35 PM »
If someone could help me on if I should buy the Foscam FI8910W (Black) Wireless N IP Camera?  I have multiple cameras configured of two types;

Cisco-Linksys Wireless-N WVC80N:
It provides me a picture that is 320x240 with 96 dpi and bit depth of 24

Airlink101 AICN777W
It provides me a picture that is 640x480 with 96 dpi and bit depth of 24

I love the WVC80N picture much better but the Airlink I can get audio and move the camera.

If anyone has the Foscam FI8910W (Black) Wireless N IP Camera and can tell me what the quality of the picture is before I make this purchase I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Merlin

Are you happy with the  Foscam FI8910W (Black) Wireless N IP Camera?
I want to get one but was waiting for some reviews.

Night photos?
Rotating camera?

Thx.

I don't have a baseline to compare it to. The night photos seem fine. It ain't HD. The IR illuminator (glowing red ring of LEDs) is certainly visible, but not intrusive. As far as rotating, it's great, although the iCam app swipe control is abysmal. There are other apps that allow you to use and store presets (screenshot below), and provide a joystick for more granular control. ICam team, consider this a feature request!

To provide a sense of scale, that's a full size ping pong table in the game room. It's pitch black in there right now.
