This latest BETA version (2.4
.8) contains the following fixes and improvements:
- The Notification Threshold and Event Image Minimum controls are only visible when the Send Notifications and Record Motion checkboxes are selected, respectively.
- Fixed a bug in the 2.4.7 BETA version where changing the name of the camera could cause the iCamSource to crash.
- The Windows version fixes a bug related to the trimming of Motion Events that was present in 2.4.7 BETA version.
- The Mac version no longer squishes the video stream from the newer widescreen 720p FaceTime HD webcams.
* Since this is a BETA release we would recommend backing up any Motion Events that you do not want accidentally deleted in case there are still some issues to work out with the trimming logic.

Mac OS XWhen Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) is released next month it will contain a security feature called Gatekeeper (
http://www.apple.com/macosx/mountain-lion/security.html) that by default will limit third-party Mac apps that are not downloaded from the Mac App Store or digitally signed by the developer. In order to prepare for Mountain Lion, we are going to be releasing two versions of the Mac iCamSource, one for Mac OS X 10.4 & 10.5 (Tiger & Leopard) and one for Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and later.
Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5 do not have the ability to run digitally signed applications, so that is why they will need a separate build version.
