i just signed up today. seems to be pretty cool! question for you.

Do you know if i can get / retrieve these messages from my iphone. example the one that i am typing now?

and another question.

Am i getting charged any additional fees for the camera being on at all times. i have the data plan through my carrier. i am thinking that i dont get charged any additional charges when my camera is always on??

troyy2k- You can view this forum on the iPhone using the iPhone's web browser.  I'm not sure if that's what you're asking about.

Regarding the bandwidth usage, when an iCamSource is idle it is sending a small amount of data (about 100 bytes) every 5 seconds or so to the iCam Broker Server to let it know it is still there. That equates to about 61 MB of data uploaded per month if it is just sitting there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When iCam or iCamWeb is connected, then naturally the image data being uploaded will be added to the total.

I have just checked to see the data rate while a source is active, and it shows up to 128kb/s over Wifi (LAN), 19 kb/s over 3G.

That sounds about right when an iPhone is connected to the iCamSource and video and audio data is being transferred.  When there are no iPhones connected, iCamSource's bandwidth usage should be much lower than that.
