Troubleshooting help
« on: September 19, 2011, 06:55:30 AM »
I have read the various threads, but I'm still not able to fix my issue. I have 3 cameras running iCamSource and I'm able to view them via my iPad app, but only on my home network. I was at my parent's house and it showed for a second and then I received the broker error message. At home I am running an airport router and the NAT mapping is enabled. If I try the auto config on the iCamSource, I get the broker message here at home on my iPad (but haven't been able to try it outside my home network). Any suggestions to try and fix this problem would be great. I would love to be able to keep an "eye" on my cat when I am out of town.

Thank you for your post.

Exactly what error message are you seeing when you are unable to connect: No Sources Found, Broker Connection Error, or Source Connection Error?

Also, what status message appears next to the Auto-Config Router checkbox when you run iCamSource with that option enabled?

Our iCam Help Troubleshooting section also contains some additional information about what to try when you are unable to connect from outside of your local WiFi network: http://skjm.com/icam/help/troubleshooting.php#icam3
