Adding camera location
« on: July 10, 2011, 02:02:01 PM »
How do I add camera location.  When I tap "i" button in corner it always brings up the camera I have entered and has no place to add additional camera for viewing (I assume the max is 4) because it shows four thumbnail cameras.  I just want to enter the add'l camera names without erasing the one(s) entered previously.  If that makes sense?  Please, any help greatly appreciated.

You can add add up to 16 webcams or network IP cameras from a single computer, although your computer's hardware limitations (USB bus, CPU, memory) may further limit that number.

To add a camera, click on the + button underneath the cameras pane (for a screenshot go to http://skjm.com/icam/help/#setup) and follow the instructions below:

For USB, FireWire, or Built-In webcams, you should be able to make your choice from the Audio and Video drop-down lists underneath the USB / FireWire / Built-In tab.

If you add a stand-alone network IP camera, you first need to find the correct MJPEG or JPEG URL for your camera. Enter it along with your camera's Login and Password (if any) into the iCamSource.

More detailed instructions are available at our Getting Started pages: http://skjm.com/icam/help/#setup

I can get that far, but when i use my iPhone and the app to monitor, it is difficult to add all of the cameras to the preview page (thumbnail).  When I change or add one the other disappears, in the app, that is.  Does that make sense?

Are you using the exact same login/password combination for all of the cameras?

Yes, in order to view multiple cameras simultaneously in iCam, you need to use the exact same login and password for all of the cameras.
