is there a place for Feature requests ?
« on: June 10, 2011, 03:37:23 AM »
and if someone reads this - it will be very nice to record video on the server when the iphone app send a record event.
(just like AtHome application does)
i think videos are much more important to keep and playback than pictures.

thanks

Motion detection video record has been requested in the past and is currently on our list of potential features to implement in the future. Unfortunately, we do not have any immediate plans to release such a feature.

If you require a video file of a motion recording, there are many video authoring programs available to create video files from a set of JPEG images.

On Mac computers, you can use the iMovie application. A forum user posted instructions for creating videos using iMovie here: http://skjm.com/forum/index.php?topic=641.0

On Windows, you can use the Movie Maker application.  There are several tutorials available if you search Google for "movie maker import jpg tutorial"  Here are links to a couple of them:

hi, i really didnt want to create a thread about this as I couldnt find a feature request place, but maybe you guys can find this usefull and i dont think it would be hard to implement.

i might be doing some remote setups using network ip cameras, and ill be configuring them on one pc at home to pick up the video feed and this would help greatly so here it goes:

is there any way to have the motion detector to ring a sound on the host computer?

like a push notification but on the computer itself, just a sound would help greatly specially when you go to bed at night as you can leave speakers ON.

tell me what you think :p

Interesting. We have not had that requested before, but we will add it to our list of features to potentially add in a future release. Thanks for the feedback! :)
