Questions about iCam
« on: October 30, 2010, 04:46:16 PM »
iCam is a great program.  So far everything worked without a hitch.

Questions:
1. Although you can record jpgs, there is no way to record video.  Is there any way in the future that will allow you to record video with sound? I realize it would take more disk space, but this would be a great option.

2. iCam does not work over VPN. Any reason for this? I think it might be because iCam source does not directly connect to an idevice, but rather a server? So that server should have vpn port passthrough?  Not sure, obviously.

Thanks and GREAT app! Maybe there should be a pro version too? This app would be great for small business.

Thanks for the feedback. :)

To answer your questions:

1. Recording full video has been requested in the past and is currently on our list of potential features to implement in the future.
2. iCam contains connection logic that automatically navigates the most common network configurations. A VPN is a more complex networking configuration that iCam is not able to automatically navigate.
