Icam Audio Win XP
« on: February 18, 2009, 12:16:55 PM »
HI;
Great to see audio Support.
I am running Win XP with Microsoft life Cam VX-6000.  I loaded the new version of Icam on my I pod touch (latest version of os) and on the PC.  I see the sound option on the PC.  When I launch Icam on the Ipod, I get video, and I belive I am getting an audio stream, but there is a loud humming / buzzing sound.  It's not a regular microphone feed back loop sound, I get the same sound if I move out of the house away from the camera.

Any guess on what is causing this noise?  Anything I can do to help trouble shoot?

Thanks
Jamie

UPDATE: I HOOKED UP AN EXTERNAL MICROPHONE AND IT SEEMS TO WORK FINE.  THE VOLUME LEVEL TRANSMITTED IS LOW, BUT IT WORKS.

jamiedolan - You can try increasing the input volume in Windows XP by going to the Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices, choosing the Audio tab, selecting the appropriate device under the Sound Recording drop-down and clicking the Volume button to increase the recording level.
