iPhone replacement Problem
« on: April 05, 2010, 04:03:49 PM »
Hi all,

I just got a replacement iPhone and iCam is no longer working on the new replacement.  I have successfully transfer all the paid app from iTune to iPhone.

It WORKED just fine with old phone without any problem.

Nothing has been changed on the source end.

But the new iPhone is getting the error message

Source Connection Error
one or more of the iCamSources returned by the iCam Broker Server could not be connected to.

So I've changed the Log in/User ID on the source as well as the PW.

Of course the iPhone has the same and correct ID and PW.

What could possibly cause this issue?  Why won't it connect with the replacement?

Any input/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Stefan

Are you having problems connecting via 3G, WiFi, or both?

Are you connecting from the same WiFi network as the computer running the iCamSource? If so then it sounds like a software firewall might be blocking the incoming connection on the computer. (Although you say that the source has not changed ...)

If you could go to http://whatismyipaddress.com/ from the computer running the iCamSource and e-mail support@skjm.com what it says your external IP address is then we can attempt to look it up in the Broker Server logs and hopefully troubleshoot the problem.
